Electronic Induction Heating System for High Pressure Injection Pipes.

Introduction.

See installation photos.

See http://www.bioplantrix.at

Now on sale buy it here.

The Bioplantrix IDH 1224 system was developed to directly heat high pressure injection pipes to increase injecting temperatures.

We are getting TRULY ASTOUNDING results using this heater, take a look at the following graphs which were produced during testing the system on our Toyota Surf, we fitted temperature probes and recorded the data, once with the Bioplantrix unit switched on then the following day we did the same journey with the unit switched off. See Graph with unit switched on. Then compare this with Graph with unit switched off. Print these two documents out then you will be able to see them side by side TOTALLY AMAZING we are sure you will agree?

This system is intended to complement single and two tank conversion systems, though it is a stand alone unit and can be fitted separately, it is not intended for use on its own. Unsatisfactory conversion measures can lead to engine or fuel system damage.

The system is optimised due to electronic induction heating to maximise heat output to give high injection temperatures for the lowest current consumption. This is particularly valuable in conjunction with a suitable conversion, for critical operating conditions such as no-load operating (idling) and partial load operation, when travelling on overrun (coasting) and where heat is lost due to air flow over the injection pipes, indeed it combats a situation where there is low fuel flow and low temperatures by heating the fuel directly before injection into the combustion chamber.

Suitable for all injection systems with accessible injection lines, including direct, indirect and common rail engines.

The IDH 1224 system represents minimization of negative side effects for use with suitably equipped Diesel engines running alternative fuels.

Technical.

To achieve high temperatures with a minimum current draw, induction heating is used, Too high a current draw can lead to overloading, increased wear and increased fuel consumption. The current use at maximum heating  is only between 10-15 Amps, a similar current draw to the vehicles headlamps.

The system uses the DC Current from the battery and is converted via high speed electronics into an an Alternating Pulsed High Frequency Current, at the induction coils an alternating field is produced. The injection pipes are of high grade steel which lends itself extremely well to induction heating. The induction coils are not warmed up as with resistance heating, rather it excites and heats the steel directly so the induction coils themselves also act as an insulator.

A temperature sensor on the injection coil / line regulates the electronics and limits the maximum temperature of the injection lines to 120-140 °C. The system can be configured to suit many existing systems, it can be manually switched on as necessary e.g. low outside temperatures, no-load operation etc. or can be automatically switched on when veg oil is selected e.g. two tank systems, or automatically switched when engine starts, a combination of the above can be used or any other safe method the user wishes.

Application.

The IDH 1224 system was primarily designed for small Diesel engines, cars, vans, small trucks or tractors. The system has a capacity for up to a 6 cylinder engine up to 3 litre. With engines of a higher capacity or more cylinders 2 or more systems can be used so in principle any engine could be equipped.

Installation.

The installation of the Bioplantrix IDH1224 system must be fitted by competent persons. Fundamental expertise is presupposed for the installation of the electrical components as well as the appropriate equipment. With unsatisfactory or wrong installation damage can develop, even to the point of fire risk.

If fitted by a reputable garage or approved installer (we are looking for approved installers) and installed correctly a 12 month parts warranty is supplied. If fitted DIY a 6 month parts warranty can be supplied providing that the unit has been fitted correctly and IDH 1224 unit has not been tampered with. If fitted by Dieselveg Ltd a 12 month parts and labour warranty will be given.

The injection lines do not have to be dismantled.

The IDH 1224 system comes complete with:

Electronics module which is factory set (unqualified adjustment will render any warranties void) it has 4 mounting holes for 5 or 6mm bolts, this unit must be mounted upright with connections at the bottom.

Temperature sensor for the injection line with 1.8 metres cable.

High temperature 4 metres, mineral oil tolerant special induction line.

Silicon sleeves for securing start and end of induction coils.

Heat resistant cable ties for to fix to induction lines.

Assorted red & black cable.

Crimp lugs and insulating sleeves for connecting to the module.

Operation and installation manual (also downloadable see below).

Due to variations in individual fitting techniques and requirements, brackets, control cable, switches, indicator lamps, final connections to battery etc are not included with the system kit.
